Congratulations to all the students taking part in the GCC inaugural Chess Competition on Wednesday May 18th. There was strong competition and many tense moments, however third year student, Dan Savovic, Mc Aleese class, was the very proud winner of the grand final.
Congratulations also, to up and coming first year student Bartosz Lacki, Thunberg, who shows great promise for the future, coming in a very close second!
Well done to all involved in the tournament. A special thank you to Mr Ward for all his dedication and support with the students throughout the year, running what has become our most popular club in Griffeen CC.
