LCA/TY Community Project 2022
Dear Parents/Guardians,
For Christmas 2022, the TY and LCA students of Griffeen Community College are working on a Community Project to give back to local families in need and the homeless people of Dublin. We are working in partnership with local woman Bernadette Fagan, who runs the ‘Lucan Homeless Donations’ Facebook page.
Thank you to everyone who has made donations so far. We are continuing to accept donations until Friday, 16th December.
Please see lists below for items we are accepting for Christmas Food Hampers, Homeless Ladies Handbags, Homeless Men’s Backpacks and Toys for local children and homeless children in need:
To support our Community Project for 2022 we are also hosting a Festive Day on Monday, 19th Dec. 2022. This day will include the following:
- Festive Morning in school hall (Christmas Crafts & Treats for sale, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, cake sale, raffle, festive music with the school choir and much more!).
- Festive Jumper Day – students and staff are invited to wear a festive jumper and accessories on this day. Uniform (trousers/skirt) must be worn also.
- Football Tournament Finals
Parents and Guardians are invited to attend from 9am – 10am. Students will visit with their class groups throughout the day. Please see poster below for more information:
All students are asked to bring in €4 each between now and Friday, 16th December to support this fundraiser. €4 includes entry to hall for Festive Morning, entry to football matches in the afternoon, 1 x raffle ticket and contribution to the Festive Jumper Day.
All money raised will go towards our Community Project. Money will be used to buy items not received in donations for our Hampers, Handbags, Backpacks and Toys.
