Griffeen Community College Academic Calendar 2024 - 2025
Below is the academic Calendar for the school year 2024 -2025. Please also refer to the Department of Education note below the calendar, which outlines the contingency arrangements should schools need to close due to unforeseen circumstances.

As per Department of Education Circular Circular 0072/2022, the following contingency arrangements will be in place for the academic year 2024-25
February 2025 mid-term break
Post-primary schools will close from Monday 17th February 2025 to Friday 21st February 2025 inclusive, unless changes are required as part of contingency arrangements to make up for time lost due to unforeseen school closures. Where contingency arrangements are required, a school authority may reduce the length of the February mid-term break by remaining open up to and including Wednesday 19th February 2025.
Easter 2025
All schools will close on Friday 11th April 2025 which will be the final day of the school term, unless changes are required as part of contingency arrangements to make up for time lost due to unforeseen school closures. Where contingency arrangements are required, a school authority may reduce the length of the Easter break by remaining open up to and including Wednesday 16th April 2025.
All schools will re-open on Monday 28th April 2025
