Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please find enclosed the Junior Cycle Examinations Timetable 2024 and a short version of the Instructions and Regulations for the Conduct of Candidates during Examinations from the State Examinations Commission. A full version of rules and regulations for state exams can be found on www.examinations.ie.
We would ask that you ensure your child arrives on time for exams. Please note, as per the instructions enclosed candidates are required to be in attendance 30mins prior to the start of their first exam and at least 15mins prior to each subsequent exam.
Students must have all their own equipment for each exam including pens, pencils, ruler, calculator…etc. They will not be provided with these by the Exam Superintendent.
Student are required to wear full school uniform for the duration of their exams.
Please also note the following:
- The start and end times for each exam your child is sitting.
- For the majority of exams there is a 2-hour break between the morning and afternoon exam.
- Students must leave the building after each exam is complete and return on time for their next exam.
- There will be no supervision of students between the morning and afternoon exam and therefore students are not permitted to stay on the premises.
